reconflection

recognition + reconnection + reflection

15-25 minutes,

Materials:

  • 1 rock or stone

  • 1 mirror

  • 1 body, wearing mildly functional shapewear

  • optional: an audience

  • It’s a practice of moving and holding weight in an inefficient way that threatens the well-being of the self and others until it’s decided that it can be useful.

It’s also a test/exploration of how much you’re willing to risk in order to create something new, as well as an illumination of primal fear within the process.

    • Where you carry your weight - the stone will naturally gravitate toward areas where it feels at home.

    • Your true strength - when it comes time to change or save yourself, you’ll need all that you have.

    • The risks you’re willing to take to either support your current self or create the new.

  • Greater understanding.
